Sustainabilist will teach attendees at this year’s SPI in Salt Lake City, UT how to apply scientific process improvement and modern manufacturing science to solar installations to reduce or eliminate costly rework, increase build quality, and improve the transparency of construction processes.
Continuing with our goal of bringing innovative cleantech thinkers to Sustainabilist’s advisory team, we today announce Bill Kenworthy as our newest advisor.
Bill brings 15 years of experience in the energy space to Sustainabilist’s advisory board. His experience spans teams and functions related to sales, supply chain operations, M&A, and business analytics. He is an outcomes-driven professional with a proven track record of delivery within and across various functions, excelling at building relationships and leading change and guided by principles of integrity, respect, and accountability. As an advisor at Sustainabilist, Bill’s experience will be invaluable at steering sales and product efforts as we focus on delivering results-driven products based on our years of experience in cleantech quality and efficiency.
Bill’s current professional role is Vice President of Channel Sales for Centrica Business Solutions. This world-class business helps customers implement progressive energy solutions by putting to work Centrica’s greatest strengths: expertise in distributed-energy technologies, advanced control platforms, and a strong balance sheet to support flexible deal-structuring. For customers, these projects power efficiency, resilience, and can unlock new income streams. The mission of his Channel Sales is to find partners who, together, increase speed to market for various solutions and make the whole greater than the parts.
Bill has an MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University.
Corporate sustainability leader Chris Librie is the first to join Sustainabilist’s board of advisors. Chris will help the organization tailor and design their product to serve larger companies hoping to make the most sound decisions to reach their sustainable goals.

Today, Sustainabilist is a network of freelancers who have skills and experience appropriate to sustainability technology projects. With each project, our team builds rapport and cohesion without the cost of extensive overhead required by a traditional brick-and-mortar consultancy. Our past projects together include marketing efforts for power metering companies, technology development for third-world sensor applications, methods of prediction for building energy efficiency, machine learning for rapid fault detection, and even the creation of an innovative power sensor startup. We aim to build on those experiences with new teammates who come to the table with a wide and exciting range of backgrounds. Our latest additions include architects, energy analysts, MBAs, and the former Chief Sustainability Officer of a Fortune 500 Company. Combined, we have the skills and expertise to confidently tackle any problem that our clients may face.
The Climate Change Opportunity
Climate change is the biggest challenge of our generation, and every challenge comes with an opportunity of commensurate proportion. The size of the business opportunity in sustainability is astounding. Just looking at the energy sector alone, the numbers are gigantic:
● Global Energy Efficiency Investment in buildings will increase to over $125bn by 2020 
● Solar is expected to be a $3.7 Trillion (Yes, that’s a T), market by 2025. This is out of a total of $8 Trillion that will be spent on clean energy, including wind power.
● The Smart Grid market is expected to grow at an 18% CAGR to $120 Billion by 2020.
● In addition to these figures, there are huge opportunities to build companies that expand energy access to the 1.2 billion people worldwide living in homes that have yet to be electrified.
